Self-care Resources
One of the biggest challenges carers face is finding time for themselves. In between caring, advocating, having meetings, attending appointments, working and doing all the other household jobs, there’s not much time (or energy!) to do much else. But, to be an effective carer, we need to look after our needs too. There’s a reason you need to put your own oxygen mask on before attending to others in a mid-air emergency…
On this page, you’ll find presentations I’ve delivered in the past focusing on self-care and positivity for parents and carers. I’ve also added downloadable self-care resources to help you learn to look after yourself, as well as links to posts I’ve written about the parent and carer experience.
If you have any questions about how to look after your needs as a carer, come over to the Inclusive Parenting Facebook page or send me an email.
